I Love You Grandma......

Yesterday my sweet Grandma passed away suddenly. We miss you dearly and Love you so much. This is so hard to deal with because I have not lost someone so close to me yet. Jackson was her first great grandchild and she was crazy about him, her and my grandpa would call weekly to get updates, and any chance she got to hold him she would not let go nor give him back :) I know I will see her again someday, I now know she is Jackson's angel......Love you forever Grandma

Landon blessed Jackson on Sunday, May 3rd. He did such a wonderful job and we had so many family members and friends come to support us. Afterwards we had a luncheon at the Hyde Park building. I am so lucky to have a husband who holds the priesthood and is able to bless our child, I love him so much!

My relative Jessi took some awesome photos of Jackson, we are so pleased with how they turned out. Mastitis :(

So I have mastitis now for the 2nd time in 4 weeks, and it really sucks!! My doctor is trying some different antibiotics, though they told me I might just be prone to getting it the rest of the time I breast feed. Or If it doesnt go away i might have to have the mass removed which =no breast feeding at all. I really love to BF and dont want to stop.
So I was wondering if any of you have ever had Mastitis? and if so, do you know any better methods of curing it? what helped you???
Maybe I am just doing it all wrong...help!!!

I can't believe Jackson is already 2 months old, where does the time go?!?! Now when I see brand new babies Jackson looks so big! At his 2 month apt. he weighed 10 lbs and was 22 1/2 inches long. He is doing so good and has come a long way, they are still monitoring his heart murmur (they call it vsd) and we had a heart echo to confirm that there is 2 small holes, but we are pretty confident that it will close on its own. He is such a wonderful baby and I treasure every day with him. He has brought so much happiness to Landon and I. We love you baby Jack :)

A few Things I LOVE about Jackson:

I can't believe it has been a WHOLE YEAR!

Well as of today we have been in our new home for an entire year. It has been such a blessing to us. We love being able to have our own space. Last years project was a sprinkler system which is AWESOME, thanks to Aaron for the professional help! As far as the as house goes, the basement is finished we just need to finish off the bathroom, that will be next years project for sure. This year though we will build a nice deck and fence off the back yard. Landon planted grass in the back so we should have a nice backyard by the summer. Luckily the front yard was finished when we moved in so Daisy has a place to go out. It's crazy how much our lives have changed since we moved here. Landon loves his home theater room after a long day at work.. (I'm sure the neighbors don't) and Jackon is loving his new nursery. We are so thankful to be living here, it changed our lives forever :) & Landon is thankful he has a garage for his car so he doesn't have to wash it every other day :)

The story of the day I went into labor

So I'm sure everyone has a "labor story" and I find ours quite funny now, so I would love to share ours with you...
I went to my doctors on Feb 2 (well he was out of town until the 8th) so I saw his nurse practitioner Angie. She told me that I was 80 % effaced and dialated to a 1, I asked her if that meant I could have him at any time, and she said it could be 5 days or 5 weeks but most likely to be 5 weeks she told me I could keep going to the gym and working. This was good news to us especially cause Dr. Horsley was on a vacation.
On Feb 4th I went to the gym, cleaned home, moved furniture and vacuumed the entire house cause that night our awesome neighbor Aaron was going to shampoo our carpets. I kept telling Landon that I was not going to put anything up in the nursery until our carpets had been shampooed. Then I made dinner and we ate it at Aaron and Charee's home, they then shampooed their carpets. It was quite the busy day!
Feb 5th I went to work (I work at Stork Landing for those of you who don't know). I came home for lunch cause Landon was home sick and had been all week. As I was getting ready to head back to work I had to keep using the bathroom so I asked my sweet husband if this was normal (I asked him that on a regular basis) and he said "yes honey your pregnant". So when I got back to work I had to use the bathroom again, and again, and again!!! So I decided to call the hospital to see if maybe my water had broken (though I really highly doubted it had). They told me to take a pad in and they would test it. So I called my husband and asked him to bring me one. Right when I hung up I felt MAJOR leakage, so I called the hospital back and told them I was just going to come in cause I was now soaked and at work and embarrased. So I called Landon and he was coming to get me. As we headed for the hospital I burst into tears, i was nervous but didnt really think it was my water, he started to calm me down and then told me he didn't tie our little dog up ( we just shampooed the day before!!!) aahhhh!!! When we got there they took me back (the nurses were laughing at me cause I couldn't walk right- you try walking with wet pants, ha ha), tested the fluid and told me sure enough it was amniotic fluid. I again burst into tears, then I got really scared cause my doctor was out of town, they told me to head up stairs and that I couldn't leave to get anything. So I got admitted and was dialated to a 3- got an epidural a few hours later which only numbed my left side, pushed for about 40 min and he was here!! Born on Feb 5 at 11:21 p.m., weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz 19 1/2 inches long. It was a wonderful delivery The on call doc was amazing and it really wasn't that bad. It was one of the most amazing days of my life :) I got to hold Jackson for a minute before they took him and started working on him. He came at 36 weeks and 5 days, so he was a little premature, he couldn't breath on his own, had an infection, and a heart murmur. We were so glad he was here and he was such a little fighter. We took him home after 4 days in the NICU and he was under lights at home for 5. He is a lot healthier and such a good baby, we love him so much and are so grateful he is doing well. He is such a handsome little guy, we love you Jackson.
Thanks to all of you who came to see us and for all your concern- we deeply appreciate it, We can now have visitors as long as your not sick and no one under the age of 14. So come see us!!!

33 Weeks and still growing!

Well I guess it's been a while since I have put a belly picture up, I am definately showing now!! I absolutely LOVE being pregnant, here are a few reasons why...

1. I can eat a few cookies and not feel guilty!
2. No Periods :)
3. It's the most amazing thing to feel him moving and kicking inside me.
4. It has made me think about the creation of life, the gospel, and have a stronger testimony.
5. I finally get to shop in the baby section.

I could go on and on but I have been so blessed. I am extremely nervous for the labor and delivery part however- especially after watching our birthing video...OUCH!!! ha ha
I would love advice if any of you mom's want to share!

Thanksgiving in Boise

We had such a great Thanksgiving and hope you all did to! We spent the weekend in Boise at my brother & sister in laws home, it was great to see her and her family, thanks for letting us crash at your home- love you guys. There was 6 adults and 3 children but we had enough food to feed at least triple that, We deep fried the turkey and it was so so yummy, I'm glad I wore some stretchable waistband pants-haha :)

SLACKER!!!!

I first should apologize to anyone who looks at our blog, I seem to have a hard time updating it. I will try to do better, I promise! Thanks to my dear friend Jessica who helped me change the music and background. Well time has flown by, we are enjoying the beautiful fall weather and I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week!! We are heading up to Boise to Landon's Sisters house for Thanksgiving weekend. I will give you all a brief update from the last month and a half.

- Me and Landon both had Birthday's, and celebrated with family

-We went to the first Jazz game of the season and had a blast, we also spent the day at the gateway shopping.

-We had a fun Halloween together and passed out treats to all the cute trick or treaters, Due to Landon waking up at 5 a.m. everyday we don't stay up to late. But it was still fun.

- My brother Tyler graduated from Basic Training on Nov. 14 in Oklahoma, he is now doing his AIT Training and will be home the end of December. We are so excited to see him and are so proud of him. I don't have any pictures of him yet, but will get some soon. Love you TY!

- I am now 26 1/2 weeks pregnant. This week I started getting really sharp pains so I went in to my Doctor and they did an ultrasound and turns out I have a torn right ligament. I tore it will working out, so now I can't work out for a while and it will slowly heal. Baby is great though, he is head down still and weighs roughly 2 lbs. I can finally feel him move, needless to say I love being pregnant.

- We have had many fun date nights with friends and top gear/ the office movie nights.

I will try to post at least once a week so I don't have such long posts... bare with me people! We love you all and hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving Weekend!

Landon showing off some of his major putting skills! He did so good!!! He placed 8th, it was a very intense tournament. I'm so proud of my hubby and grateful he won us another trip ;) We had a great time and got to see a lot of cool things around D.C. and New Jersey. Unfortunately we did not get to go to NYC because of tropical storm kyle, and because of kyle we sat on the airplane on the runway for over 2 hours!! It was very hot and we missed our connecting flight, we did get home at 3 a.m. but without our luggage, thankfully they brought it to us the next day. But all in all we had a fabulous time and look forward to the tournament next year

Yay!!! We are so excited to be having a boy! Especially Landon, right after the ultrasoud tech told us it was a boy, landon said " I need to go buy golf clubs for him". We were both laughing and smiling, I thought that was so cute :) He is 6 inches and weighs 7 oz. at this point. He moves around a lot and we could see him sucking his thumb- super cute. Its crazy to think that my pregnancy is half over- wow it goes by fast!!

After the appointment we went and got smoothies and checked out the baby clothes at old navy. It was such a fun day. Later that night we shared the news with our families, and they are all so excited. We are so blessed.

3RD TIME MINI GOLF CHAMP!!!!

Yup thats right, He won again!! I guess all those date nights pay off ;) He is such a good putter, so good that he won in 2005, 2006, and now 2008! So we fly out to New Jersey in a couple weeks so he can play in the National Harris Cup- funny, I know. I bet your laughing your heads off that there is a national mini golf tournament, but its a $10,000.00 cup, and we get flown out for free. Whats even funnier is the people that are at the nationals- they are from all over the world and they take it so serious, I think we are the only ones there that are actually having fun! But we are so excited to go to NYC and Washington D.C. again, we decided to make a week long trip out of it. Im so proud of my hubby, Keep puttin!! Thanks Willows for sending us 3 years back east.

I'm Preggers!!!

So it's official............I'm PREGNANT!!!!!! We are so excited, and can't wait to find out what it will be- we find out in 5 1/2 weeks!! After almost 3 1/2 years of marriage we feel like we are ready-or we hope we are.

So the second photo is how I told Landon we were expecting, I had these onsies made up at the logo shop and a brownie and my pregnancy tests ( I say tests cause I took 15!! I think i got addicted, LOL) and the hospital blood test. I told him I had a gift for him for working on the sprinklers (thats another story, they are still not finished) and gave him this nice gift all wraped up- he was completely shocked and so so excited, we both had tears of joy!! O and i kept it a secret from him for 4 days so I could put everything together, that was so hard!

The first picture is how we told our families. We invited our families over for dinner and this was our desert, thay were all so excited and it was so sweet to see my mom and dad crying. Now my mom is so anxious to buy something.

So far its been a fabulous pregnancy, and I have like 6 friends that are pregnant so its fun to talk to them. Love you all and sorry I am a bad blogger, It takes forever to figure out!

4th of July fun weekend

We had such a great weekend with our family and friends, we just LOVE the 4th of July!!

On thursday evening we watched the USU firework show at Lee's Marketplace with jarad & Leslie and had a great time with them and their family. The fireworks were awesome!

Landon and I both had friday off-YAY!!! So Landon woke up at the butt crack of dawn (5:20 a.m.) and went golfing to Birch Creek with our dads, he had so much fun. Meanwhile i slept until 7:00 a.m. then i went to breakfast with my friends Julie & Alisha, it was great to catch up, love you guys. Landon went and walked around the car show for a while and I went to the pool with my family and julie and had a blast!! Later that night we went and ate at The Factory with some of our car friends then went to Dave's house and lit off some fantastic fireworks... illegal:) and we had a BLAST!!! We had such a fun filled day.

Saturday I had to work :( I was so mad cause I just love to walk around and see all the fun cars, but Landon went with some friends and was there all day, finally when I got off work we all met up and made it in time to still be in the car parade. So I still got to see some awesome cars. We then went to dinner at Cafe Sabor yummy!!! After dinner we met up with our good friends Pat & Anna and went mini golfing and laughed the entire time- we had such a great day!!

I think this is what summer is all about!!
And Charee your going to be so proud that i finally posted a blog!! now i just got to figure out how to do the picture thing and fancy it up a little!
